Anita Bhandari, MA, BA (AE), CPHR, is a visionary Chief Human Resources Officer for the City of Burnaby, known for her dedication to advancing opportunities and fostering an inclusive work environment.

With nearly two decades of experience in both private and public sectors, Anita holds a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Bachelor in Adult Education, and a Certified Professional in Human Resources designation.

Anita’s leadership has earned her accolades such as being a finalist for the 2023 YWCA Women of Distinction, receiving the Women of Inspiration Award 2024, and being a HR Spotlight 2024 recipient. Her commitment to diversity and inclusion is evident through her role in supporting the Burnaby Promise and Burnaby Moving Forward, demonstrating her focus on empowering individuals and creating a genuine sense of belonging.
