Farhang Koohestanian is the Manager of MOSAIC’s Surrey Language Centre (SLC). Farhang is passionate about supporting newcomers, empowering educators, and fostering an inclusive, collaborative learning environment.
Farhang Koohestanian is the Manager of MOSAIC’s Surrey Language Centre (SLC), bringing over 20 years of experience in education, including English language teaching, academic research, lecturing, and instructional development. Hailing from Iran, he has also lived and worked in Malaysia before immigrating to Canada.
Farhang began his journey at MOSAIC as a LINC instructor, later serving as an Instructional Developer before becoming Centre Manager. His experience across different educational settings and roles has given him a broad perspective on teaching, learning, and supporting educators and learners.
As an immigrant himself, Farhang brings a multicultural lens and a personal understanding of the newcomer experience to his work. He is passionate about supporting newcomers, empowering educators, and fostering an inclusive, collaborative environment where people feel welcomed, valued, and equipped to thrive in their new communities.
