Mehran Jamshidi is a full-time Lecturer at the University of British Columbia (UBC) Sauder School of Business, where he teaches graduate and undergraduate business students. He brings more than two decades of experience spanning industry, higher education, and the non-profit sector. Since immigrating to Canada as a skilled worker, he has built a diverse career that has included project management and leadership roles at TELUS and Vancouver Community College (VCC), as well as teaching positions at BCIT, University Canada West, and New York Institute of Technology before joining UBC Sauder.
Mehran has also been actively involved in supporting the professional development and integration of immigrants in Canada. Through workshops, conference presentations, mentoring, and community and professional initiatives, he has shared his experience and insights with immigrants navigating the Canadian labour market. His professional leadership has included serving as President of the Project Management Institute’s Canadian West Coast Chapter (PMI CWCC), and he will deliver a keynote address at the PMWest 2026 Conference on the human aspects of project management.

He is passionate about helping immigrant professionals build meaningful careers while encouraging employers and professional communities to better recognize the expertise and perspectives they bring.
