Ruchi is a registered social worker with over 15 years of international non-profit and development work experience, including grant writing and human rights advocacy.
She is currently working with Canadian Heritage as a Program Advisor and is passionate about supporting projects which actively contribute towards reducing systemic racism and make lives of racialized communities easier and barrier free. She has project leadership and hands-on experience, augmented by Masters in Social Work and Diplomas in Human Rights Law and Business Administration. She immigrated to Canada in October 2017 with her husband and 9-year-old son. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and spending time with her family. She also volunteers as a board member for the South Vancouver Neighborhood House and on the Immigrant Advisory Table with Vancouver Local Immigration Partnership.
